In the General Staff, the statements about the "encirclement" of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region were refuted
The information about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian units in the Kursk region does not correspond to reality. Such reports are spread by Russian propaganda.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Reports about the alleged ’encirclement’ of Ukrainian units by the enemy in the Kursk region do not correspond to reality and are created by Russians to achieve political goals and put pressure on Ukraine and its partners," stated the General Staff.
According to them, the situation has not undergone significant changes over the day, and combat actions continue in the operational zone of the "Kursk" military group.
The General Staff clarified that the Defence Forces have regrouped and moved to more advantageous defensive lines. They are performing their assigned tasks on the territory of the Kursk region.
"Our soldiers repel offensive actions of the enemy and inflict effective fire damage with all types of weapons. Since the beginning of the current day, 13 combat engagements have taken place in the Kursk direction. The threat of encirclement of our units is absent," reported the General Staff.
