Colonel Lapin will remain in custody until May 17 by court decision

The decision was announced by investigating judge Maksym Sokolov - the video of the session was published on Facebook by Lapin’s daughter Oleksandra Paduchak.

«The court ruled: to satisfy the investigator’s request. Extend the period of detention until 17.05.2025 without determining the amount of bail», the judge read out.

At the same time, the court rejected the request of members of parliament to take Colonel Lapin on bail but obliged the prosecutor to ensure a medical examination of the colonel, who became ill during the court session on March 19.
