Zelenskyy: Ukraine is significantly increasing drone production — from "Maviks" to strike "Deepstrikes"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, with the main topic being the increase of drone production in Ukraine. According to the head of state, the country is maximally ramping up the production pace of drones across the entire spectrum — from compact "maviks" to long-range UAVs.

The Ukrainian leader announced this on his Telegram on Monday, April 7.

"We need constant, stable growth in production and the supply to the troops of all the necessary parts of the drone component," Zelenskyy stressed.

He noted that this year opens up good prospects for such development.

Additional attention at the Staff meeting was paid to drones with an optical fiber control system.

Since the beginning of the year, over 20 new certified models of such drones have appeared in Ukraine, and 11 Ukrainian companies have already established their production. The president set the task of achieving maximum production and supply scales and instructed contracts to be concluded in full.

According to the head of state, positive dynamics are also observed in the production of "deepstrikes" — deep strike attack drones.

Although specific figures remain closed, Zelenskyy assured that the necessary volume for the Defence Forces will be provided this year.

The president thanked all Ukrainian companies, military personnel, and specialists involved in the development of the unmanned component for the army.
