US hands over control of Ukraine aid hub in Yasenka to Poland and NATO
The USA has begun removing military equipment and personnel from the logistics hub in Yasenka, Poland, which has served as a key point for delivering aid to Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale war. Moving forward, Poland and NATO will take over the coordination of this facility’s operations, as reported by the US European Command.
The statement notes that the hub’s important function of transferring military aid to Ukraine will be preserved, but now under the leadership of the Polish side and the Alliance, with the support of an optimized presence of American military personnel.
«Poland and its allies will ensure reliable defense infrastructure around this strategic facility,» the statement says.
It is also emphasized that the relocation of US personnel and equipment to other areas of Poland was planned in advance — to enhance the effectiveness of military operations.
