Lawyer refuted the Information regarding Vitaliy Kropachov’s Russian citizenship: "Documents are fake"

Information disseminated in the media about alleged Russian citizenship of businessman Vitaliy Kropachov is a manipulation, stated the businessman’s lawyer Oleksandr Salazskyi in his column on the Ukraine World News website.

"The ’documents’ being published are obvious forgeries, as evidenced by numerous factors," emphasizes the lawyer.

First and foremost is the marital status. Allegedly (according to the forged documents) Kropachov has been married since 2000 to "Kondrashova Viktoriya (born in 1981)." However, in reality, the businessman’s wife has been Konovalova Anastasiya since 1995.

This is confirmed by the corresponding document.

"Other data, such as the passport issuance dates when Vitaliy Kropachov was not in Russia, and more, do not even merit separate mention," adds the lawyer.

It is worth noting here that rumors about the supposed citizenship of Russia, the aggressor country, for Kropachov have appeared in the informational space before. As early as 2019, an attempt was made to blackmail the businessman by publishing this fake information. Later, in 2023, unknown individuals even sent this "document" to the editorial offices of leading Ukrainian media, including "Ukrainska Pravda." Journalists reached out to Vitaliy Kropachov for comments, received evidence of the forgery, and decided not to publish the fake.

Currently, the lawyer advises the media to pay attention to the truthfulness of information and not to publish unverified information that could later be considered in court.

Let us remind you that the State Bureau of Investigations accuses the businessman of allegedly causing damage to the state amounting to 2 billion hryvnias.

Kropachov himself claims that there are no legal grounds for a criminal case. The businessman’s lawyers assert that his detention was carried out with violations. Moreover, according to one of the lawyers, Oleksandr Salazskyi, a preventive measure was chosen for Vitaliy Kropachov with no possibility of bail for an economic crime charge, "which in itself is nonsensical."
