During 2024, Ukraine increased the production of cruise missiles eightfold

In 2024, the Ministry of Strategic Industries increased the production of cruise missiles by 8 times compared to the previous year.

This information was reported by the Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.

Smetanin noted that new developments allowed for an increase in missile production throughout the year.

"If two years ago as a country we could produce only one cruise missile, which was the ’Neptune,’ last year we had many new developments that ensured an increase in production volumes by 8 times compared to 2023," he said.

Furthermore, in 2024, the production of long-range drones more than doubled compared to 2023 and increased 22 times compared to 2022. As of the end of 2024, Ukraine developed 324 new samples of armaments.

Smetanin emphasized that by the end of 2025, Ukraine will be capable of producing military equipment worth 35 billion dollars.
