President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published new footage of the large-scale destruction in the center of Sumy, where Russian ballistic missiles struck on April 13.

The head of state confirmed the tragic data: it is already known that 34 people were killed, including children.

«My condolences to the families and loved ones. Over 80 people are injured, including ten children. Everyone is being provided with the necessary assistance», — said the president.

As a sign of mourning for the deceased, Days of Mourning are being declared in Ukraine. In Lviv, on April 13 and 14, state flags are flown at half-mast. In Konotop, the days of remembrance will last from April 13 to 15.

Local authorities, rescuers, and medics continue to work at the site of the tragedy. Rescue operations are ongoing, and some of the deceased are still being identified.

This strike on the peaceful population became one of the bloodiest in recent months. The Ukrainian authorities call on the international community for a decisive response to another war crime of the Russian Federation.
