Advisor to Zelenskyy: Ukraine considers March 25 as the beginning of the energy truce
Ukraine considers the start of the energy truce to be March 25, when the White House published the relevant statements, commented presidential advisor on communications Dmytro Lytvyn regarding the statements made by a Kremlin representative about the alleged end of a month-long energy truce.
"I don’t know from when Peskov’s statements have any significance. We consider the beginning of the agreement with the American side to be March 25, when the White House published the relevant statements. But given the inadequacy of the Russians and intelligence data – yesterday President Zelenskyy warned about the threat of Russian strikes on energy facilities either right before or after Easter," Lytvyn told journalists on Friday.
Earlier, Putin’s press secretary Dmitriy Peskov claimed that the supposed month-long Russian moratorium on strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure had expired, but "there were no instructions from Putin."
