OSTG "Khortytsia": Russian Armed Forces are gradually retreating from the outskirts of Pokrovsk
Russian occupation forces are gradually retreating from the western outskirts of the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region after a failed attempt to cut off the route from the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia" Viktor Trehubov during the "Unified News" TV marathon.
According to him, it is about the positions west of Pokrovsk, which the Russians have been "gradually retreating" from since the end of February.
"They very actively tried to advance with the aim of cutting off the route from the Dnipropetrovsk region — from Pavlohrad to Pokrovsk, but they failed. The turning point occurred when the Ukrainians recaptured Kotlyne, and now the Russians are retreating from there very slowly," Trehubov reported.
Regarding the "Easter truce," the spokesperson of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia" noted that currently only a decrease in the intensity of hostilities and clashes by two to three times is being observed. He believes that the temporary decrease in the intensity of hostilities is occurring to significantly increase it later.
In addition, the Russians are actively conducting rotations in the Kupyansk and Kharkiv directions, particularly in the latter where they are accumulating more than attacking.
"If there were, let’s say, 80 clashes on the direction, and now there are 30, it looks more like some kind of pause, a temporary weakening, especially considering that the Russians continue to actively conduct rotations and accumulate troops. This is, let’s say, not a pause," he explained.
