Law enforcement agencies must ensure the absence of violence during mobilization, - Zelenskyy
Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered a question about "forced mobilization" in Ukraine, emphasizing that hundreds of thousands of citizens have voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He stated this in an interview with Ben Shapiro, the founder of Daily Wire.
According to the president, as of today, 600,000-800,000 people have joined the Ukrainian army of their own free will. "These are people who voluntarily went to defend Ukraine," Zelenskyy noted, adding that although there is a law on mobilization, it is not compulsory.
At the same time, the president acknowledged that there have been individual incidents during mobilization, but assured that they do not reflect the true face of Ukraine. "Law enforcement agencies must ensure the absence of violence during mobilization," he added.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that mobilization is part of the state of war and will continue as long as the war lasts. "We want peace, tranquility, but as long as the war continues, as long as there is law, there is mobilization," he concluded.
