Syrskyi: The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have increased the intensity of hostilities to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region

Despite loud statements about readiness for a ceasefire during the May holidays, the occupiers have significantly increased the intensity of hostilities, focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.

This was reported on the Telegram channel by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, the lack of prospects in the operational and tactical plan does not stop the enemy. They are stubbornly trying to break through the defence of our troops in this direction and reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

"For this purpose, the Russian command daily sends new units into battle, drives its military to death, and reports illusory successes and victories," informs Syrskyi.

In connection with the aforementioned situation, the Commander-in-Chief dedicated the day to working with our brigades, who are holding the defence precisely in this direction, to address problematic issues and assist the unit commanders in organizing combat operations.

"During the work, I listened to the commanders in detail, decided on additional provisioning with ammunition, drones, EW means, and reserves. Special emphasis was placed on unmanned strike systems.

Despite constant pressure and breakthrough attempts, the enemy continually suffers losses and retreats.
Fire damage is inflicted throughout the depth of the enemy’s battle formations," he concludes.
