The woman who shot at Sternenko was detained at the crime scene. According to media reports, she rented an apartment in the same residential complex as the activist. The murder of the volunteer was ordered by Russian special services. She received money for this "task."

The attacker was born in 1979, originally from the Odesa region, but was registered and lived in Kyiv.

On May 2nd, the detainee was charged with treason and attempted murder. Today, a preventive measure will also be chosen for her.

The volunteer himself reacted to the event on his Telegram channel.

"The scum who tried to kill me yesterday has been charged with attempted murder and treason. A preventive measure will be chosen today," Sternenko wrote.

He also promised to conduct a livestream and provide more details.
