The 64th exchange of prisoners of war took place: Ukraine has brought back 205 more defenders from captivity

The latest, 64th exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia took place. 205 Ukrainian defenders returned home — three officers and 202 soldiers and sergeants.

Among the released are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Naval Forces, Air Force, Air Assault Forces, Territorial Defence Forces, as well as the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service, as reported by the Coordination Headquarters.

Many of them have been in captivity since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion. Some are seriously ill or wounded.

According to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, a total of 4,757 Ukrainians have been returned during the entire time of the full-scale war.

This is the fifth prisoner exchange in 2025.
