Germany has delivered a new military aid package to Ukraine

Germany continues to provide Ukraine with weapons and equipment from its own reserves and by financing industrial deliveries. In total, approximately 28 billion euros of military aid has already been allocated or planned.

The new package includes both the transfer of equipment from the Bundeswehr’s arsenals and the financing of deliveries by manufacturers through the state budget. This was reported on the German Chancellor’s website.

The new German aid package will include:

1. Combat armored vehicles:

• 66 MRAP vehicles, protected from mines and ambushes;
• ammunition for LEOPARD 2 main battle tanks.

2. Air defence:

• four Kinetic Defence Vehicles from German weapon manufacturer Diehl Defence;
• 38,000 units of GEPARD anti-aircraft ammunition;
• IRIS-T SLM (medium-range) missile.

3. Artillery and other weaponry:

• three Zuzana 2 wheeled howitzers (partially funded by Denmark and Norway);
• 27,000 rounds of 155-mm artillery ammunition;

• 1,000 rounds of 122-mm artillery ammunition;
• 917 RGW 90 anti-tank rifles;
• 3,769 G3 assault rifles;
• 800 MK 556 assault rifles.

4. Drones and counter-drone measures:

• 70 VECTOR reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
• 150 HF-1 armed drones;
• 10 ground drones.

5. Repair and demining equipment:

• six armored recovery vehicles Bergepanzer 2 with spare parts;
• four Wisent 1 demining vehicles with spare parts;
• two mine-clearing trailers.

6. Protective and special equipment:

• 41 ground surveillance radars;
• 187 laser rangefinders;
• 92 infrared binoculars;
• 55 diving scooters;
• three border transport vehicles;
• 150,000 tourniquets;
• 534 sleeping bags.

For security reasons, the federal government has refrained from providing additional details, especially regarding the conditions and terms of deliveries until the transfer is complete.

Additionally, Germany is preparing to deliver four IRIS-T air defence systems (SLM/SLS), IRIS-T SLM/SLS missiles, Patriot missiles, 120 IGLA anti-aircraft missiles, 316 VECTOR reconnaissance drones, 30 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones, and 1,100 ground surveillance radars.
