Russian "war correspondents" claimed that on May 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the area of Tyotkino and Novy Put (both southwest of Glushkovo).
On May 12, a Russian blogger claimed that Putin’s forces had allegedly repelled an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Popovka in the west of the Belgorod region.
"Northern Axis"
Fighting continued on May 12 along the international border in the Sumy region near Bilovody. There was no data on the advancement of either side.
Eastern Ukraine. Russian operation No. 1 - Kharkiv region
On May 12, Russian occupiers continued offensive operations on the Kharkiv direction but did not advance. On May 11 and 12, Russian forces attacked near Vovchansk.
A battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating in the north of the Kharkiv region reported on May 12 that the activation of Ukrainian and Russian drones in this direction had led to the formation of a "gray zone" 2-3 km wide on this section of the front.
A Ukrainian serviceman operating in the Vovchansk direction reported that the Russians mainly use armored vehicles to transport infantry rather than conducting mechanized assaults in this area.

Russian invaders continued offensive actions towards Chasiv Yar on May 11 but did not advance. On May 11 and 12, Russian forces attacked near Chasiv Yar itself, close to Novomarkove, Andriivka, Diliivka, Bila Hora, and Ozarianivka.
On May 11, a Russian "war correspondent" claimed that the Ukrainian Defence Forces counterattacked near Stupochki (south of Chasiv Yar).
Ukrainian defenders have recently advanced on the Toretsk direction. As shown by the geolocated footage published on May 10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced northeast of Druzhba (east of Toretsk).

On May 12, Russian forces continued offensive actions in the west of the Zaporizhzhya region but did not advance. On May 11 and 12, Russian occupiers attacked in the area of Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, and Malye Scherbaky.
On May 11, the Southern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published footage of the destruction of the Russian Buk-M1 air defense system near the occupied Verkhniy Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhya region (behind Russian invader lines northeast of Melitopol).
On May 11 and 12, Russian forces conducted limited offensive actions in the Kherson direction but did not advance.
On May 11, the spokesperson for the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmytro Pletenchuk, stated that Russians are moving air defense systems, including water-based air defense systems, from other areas to the occupied Crimea, as the peninsula remains a key logistical area for the occupiers.
Pletenchuk also noted that the shortage of microelectronics due to sanctions is hindering Russia from building new air defense systems, and that Russian forces cannot effectively protect the Crimean Bridge.
