Former managers of the Berdyansk branch of the USPA were found guilty of abuse and official forgery
The Court of Appeal partially satisfied the prosecutor’s complaint of the SAPO and overturned the acquittal of the former head of the Berdyansk branch of the SE "USPA" Oleksandr Barchan and the head of a commercial company Nataliya Panchenko in the case of abuse of office and official forgery.
Barchan was found guilty under part 2 of Article 28, part 2 of Article 364, and part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, but was released from punishment for forgery based on part 1 of Article 49 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment and a 3-year restriction on holding managerial positions, as well as a fine of 8,500 hryvnias.
Panchenko was also found guilty under part 2 of Article 27, part 2 of Article 364, and part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, but was released from punishment for official forgery due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. She was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with a restriction on managerial positions for 2 years and a fine of 8,500 hryvnias.
Both were taken into custody directly in the courtroom. The verdict takes effect from the moment of its announcement and can be appealed in the Supreme Court within three months.
