English will become mandatory for university and research institution leadership — Cabinet decision

The English language will now become mandatory for a number of positions in educational institutions, reports MP Honcharenko.

According to the Cabinet’s decision, the following should be proficient in English:

- in universities - deputy heads, deans, department heads, professors, research staff, heads of international departments;

- in colleges – deputies for international activities, heads of departments working with foreign students;

- in vocational schools – methodologists and administrative staff responsible for international cooperation;

- in research organizations - heads of postgraduate studies, directors of publishing houses, senior researchers, etc.
