In the night of May 25, explosions were heard in Kharkiv, as the city was attacked by strike drones from the Russian occupiers. As a result of the shelling, a fire was reported.
This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.
In the Kharkiv region, the presence of enemy strike UAVs was recorded since the evening. The Air Force reported the movement of enemy kamikaze drones, particularly towards Kharkiv city.
At 01:37, the mayor of Kharkiv reported an explosion in the city amid a drone attack.
Later, a second and third explosion were reported. Residents were urged to be cautious and remain in shelters until the air raid alert was over.
"The third strike by enemy UAV on the city! Enemy UAVs are still near Kharkiv. Stay in shelters. Safety is the highest priority!" the mayor stated on Telegram.
He also reported information about "a fire at the site of one of the impacts."
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said online that the city of Kharkiv is "under attack by enemy drones."
"A series of explosions was heard in the city. Stay in safe places until the alert is over!" he wrote on Telegram.
As later reported by Terekhov, in Kharkiv, according to preliminary data, there were "impacts" in the Osnovyanskyi, Novobavarskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
The mayor reported that in the Osnovyanskyi district, "a civilian enterprise was affected."
"Emergency services are working at the impact sites. The threat to the city remains – a large number of enemy UAVs are in the region," he added.
Later, the mayor reported that due to the shelling in the Shevchenkivskyi district, there was an "impact" on an office building.
"There were no casualties and no fire. All necessary services are working at the site," the mayor reported.
