Ukraine has elevated the unmanned aerial vehicle industry to a new level. Each year, the domestic defence-industrial complex is capable of producing about ten million drones.

This information came from a statement by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kozenko, during his speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue Security Forum in Singapore.

At this speech, Kozenko introduced forum participants to the capabilities of the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex, particularly in the field of drone production. He noted that domestic drones are significantly cheaper than other counterparts and have already been tested in combat situations.

“Ukraine has taken the drone sector to a new level and is developing innovative solutions in the air, on land, and in the water. Currently, the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex is capable of producing 10 million different drones per year,” he remarked.

According to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence, taking into account the experience of the war, Ukraine is now developing doctrinal changes in the use of drones, which currently account for 80% of all battlefield strikes.

It is known that the Security Service of Ukraine conducted an operation called “Spider Web,” aimed at targeting aviation in Russia. More than 40 enemy aircraft were hit, including A-50, Tu-95, and Tu-22 M3. The enemy incurred preliminary losses amounting to over $2 billion. In addition to the “Belya” airbase in the Irkutsk region of Russia, enemy airfields were also hit today in the Murmansk, Ryazan, Moscow, and Ivanovo regions.
