Western media spread fakes about Russia’s successes — expert DeepState

This was stated in a comment to the YouTube channel of RBC-Ukraine by Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState platform.

He commented on the publication by the German tabloid Bild, which claimed that Russia allegedly occupied 18 settlements in Ukraine in one week.

Pohorilyi pointed out that the tabloid even wrote the names of Ukrainian settlements with numerous mistakes.

"During the timeframe they mentioned, a week - there aren’t 18. They even supposedly listed Bohatyr (a village in the Donetsk region - ed.) as being occupied by Moscow, just because they claimed it," he added.

According to Pohorilyi, Russians often try to plant their flag in a settlement they do not control. For this purpose, they send drones or dispatch infantry, which is quickly neutralized by Ukrainian defenders.

"And they (Western media - ed.) still, after Moscow’s statement, simply list the settlement as given. We’ve already written many posts on this matter. We aim to objectively show the situation, and if Bohatyr is lost, of course, we will show it on the map," he noted.

The co-founder of DeepState also highlighted that Ukrainian soldiers are trying to hold back the Russians and prevent them from occupying Bohatyr.
