In the Sumy region, residents of the border zone refuse to evacuate due to fear of the military recruitment office — media

In the 10-kilometer border zone of the Yunakivka community in the Sumy region, at least five people remain who have refused evacuation.

According to local media, the main reason is the fear of possible detention by TRC representatives during the exit.

Despite constant shelling and the threat to life, people remain in the frontline villages, unwilling to leave their homes due to the risk of mobilization. Representatives of the local authorities and rescuers have repeatedly called on residents to evacuate to safer areas, but these appeals have been ignored.

Experts emphasize that this situation creates additional risks both for the citizens themselves and for the services providing assistance in the border areas.
