Dobkin and money: Journalist suspects Russian connection in their investments

Lviv journalist Ostap Drozdov suggested that the "investments" in the Ukrainian economy mentioned by the brothers Mykhaylo and Dmytro Dobkins might have Russian origins.

He stated this during a discussion on the ProUA YouTube channel on the topic "Why are former regionals and pro-Russian politicians back in Ukrainian media?".

Thus, the political commentator addressed the statements of Dmytro Dobkin that his family invests significant funds in the Volodymyr-Volynska factory.

"The Dobkins actively praise their large investments in the economy, how they are rebuilding Ukraine. I do not question the origin of the sources – it is obvious where they come from…

It is clear that if money can be invested in a devastated country, then the funding will come from the destroyer," Drozdov noted.

In his opinion, by increasing funding, Moscow will try to maintain its positions among politicians who were oriented towards it before the full-scale war.

"It is obvious that Russia will "pump" money into pro-Russian repainted politicians… It will invest and "inject" large funds, as this is their "critical moment". There will be no other opportunity for pro-Russian politicians to "rise" again. Therefore, I agree that we are in for a revival of the "regionals"… And they are all in touch, waiting for an opportunity in new conditions to parasitize on two topics – language and peace," Ostap Drozdov summarized.

It should be noted that the Dobkin brothers announced the construction of a new factory in Volyn with investments of 60 million euros.

Also, recall that the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the SSU suspects officials of several enterprises owned by the brothers Mykhaylo and Dmytro Dobkin of collaboration with the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code, sanction – imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years).
