Ukrainians have paid over 87 million hryvnias in taxes for luxury cars: Kyiv leads the way

Owners of elite cars paid 87.2 million UAH in vehicle tax during January—April 2025.

This is 12% or 9.2 million UAH more than the corresponding figure last year.

The largest amounts came from car owners:
• Kyiv — 26.5 million UAH,
• Dnipropetrovsk region — 8 million UAH,
• Odesa region — 7.6 million UAH,
• Lviv region — 6 million UAH.

The vehicle tax is paid by owners of passenger cars that were manufactured no more than 5 years ago, and whose average market value exceeds 375 times the minimum wage (more than 3 million UAH).

The vehicle tax rate is 25,000 UAH per car.

The list includes models from brands such as: Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Hymer-Mercedes, Ineos, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Toyota. In total, in 2025, the list includes 52 car models.

• Individuals receive notifications from the tax service and have 60 days to pay the tax after receiving the notification.
• Legal entities independently calculate and pay the tax quarterly with advance payments by the 30th day of the month following the reporting quarter.
