In "Azov," they responded to the beating of a soldier by "gangsters"
The National Guard of Ukraine condemned and deemed unacceptable the attack on the officer of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov," Andriy Korynevych, which took place in Ivano-Frankivsk on June 13. The NGU emphasized that they condemn any unlawful actions against military personnel, regardless of their place of service, rank, or unit.
This was reported in an official statement by the NGU, released on Thursday, June 26. The deputy commander of "Azov," Svyatoslav "Kalyna" Palamar, also reacted to the assault on the Ukrainian defender.
"The National Guard of Ukraine condemns any unlawful actions, particularly against military personnel, irrespective of their place of service, rank, or units," – the NGU statement reads.
The police have already identified all those involved in the attack on the officer, and investigative actions are ongoing. The National Guard believes that those responsible will be held accountable.
The NGU underscored the importance of maintaining order and mutual respect between military personnel from different units.
"The main thing: it is worth always remembering that we have a common enemy – that is Russia, and we must be united in the fight against it," – the National Guard highlighted.
Let us remind you that on June 13 in Ivano-Frankivsk, an unknown group attacked a military officer. It turned out to be Major of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov," Andriy Korynevych with the call sign "Korin," who defended "Azovstal" and endured captivity.
