The situation at the front: 111 combat engagements with the occupiers

As of the evening of June 28, 2025, at least 111 combat clashes occurred along the entire front line between the Ukrainian Defence Forces and the Russian army.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening briefing.

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 17 enemy attacks.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, six assaults were stopped in the areas of Vovchansk and Stroivka, and two more battles are currently ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops attempted to breach the defence six times in the areas of Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zelenyi Hai. Active clashes are ongoing at the moment.

In the Lyman direction, 16 attempts of enemy advancement were recorded near Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, Hrekivka, Torske, Serebryanka, and Hryhorivka. Four battles are ongoing. Pidlyman suffered from an airstrike with GAB bombs.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven attacks near Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamyanske, and Vyiimka. Another combat clash continues.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers tried to advance three times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora — in vain.

In the Toretsk direction, eight assaults were recorded in the areas of Kurdiumivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, and Yablunivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made 34 breakthrough attempts in the areas of Popiv Yar, Myrne, Malynivka, Promin, Lysivka, Orikhove, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Oleksiivka, and others. An airstrike was also carried out on Pokrovsk.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, nine attacks were stopped in the areas of Yalta, Vesele, Shevchenko, Dniproenerhia, and Zaporizhzhya. Three more battles are active. The enemy attacked Berezove by air.

Combat actions continue in the Huliaipole direction near Malynivka.

One combat clash was recorded in the Orikhiv direction near Kamyanske.

The General Staff emphasizes: the situation remains tense but controlled. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the aggressor along the entire front line.
