Budanov predicted when the escalation at the front would end: "After peace negotiations"

Russia has already intensified its activities on the front, and there is no need to expect anything new. Such escalation can only end after peace negotiations.

This was stated by the head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, during the program "On the Line of Fire".

Budanov commented on the statement made by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that "where the foot of a Russian soldier steps, that is ours".

The head of the DIU noted that "all is correct," meaning that wherever the Russians reach, there will be territory under their control.

"And do you think that someone doesn’t understand this? I hope that everyone understands. And as citizens, we need to draw only one conclusion from this - that we really need to defend our state, and not hide from the Territorial Defence Center (TRC) or something similar. Otherwise, the Russian Territorial Defence Center will come, as it happens in the occupied territories. And there, it is happening in full swing, believe me," he added.

Budanov also emphasized that the escalation on the front has already started and is ongoing.

"No one will see anything new. Everything you see now will not change significantly," he added.

In addition, the head of the DIU responded to a question about when such an escalation could end.

"By the time, let’s say, the peace negotiations are concluded," he believes.
