In Kyiv, the resources of the Gepard anti-aircraft systems are almost exhausted, – MP Bezuhla

MP Maryana Bezuhla stated that the resources of "Gepard" anti-aircraft systems and other air defense systems in the capital are practically exhausted.

According to her, maintenance and repairs are mostly carried out at the expense of the crews themselves.

“Breakdowns may be minor, but within the current system, there is no established cycle of technical support. The Ministry of Defence and the General Staff have not yet developed the appropriate algorithms. Combat crews are forced to seek resources on their own to continue service. They often turn to volunteers even for transport, although the city could provide this,” stated Bezuhla.

In addition, the MP reported that the software that allows the automation of air target detection, tracking, and coordinate transfer is still not officially adopted and is used "in a gray zone."

“General Staff colonels, who have been ’mastering’ budgets for research and development for years, block any initiatives from outside, even if they have already proven their effectiveness in combat conditions,” she emphasized.

It should be noted that "Gepard" type systems play an important role in city air defence, particularly during massive drone attacks.
