In the mountains near the Romanian border, the body of a man was found

Today, on July 7th, during the patrol of a high-mountain section of the Ukrainian-Romanian border, servicemen of the "Dilove" Border Service Department of the Mukachevo Detachment found the body of an unknown man.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The border guards reported the discovery of the body to the police. The causes of death, as well as the identity of the deceased, will be determined after conducting appropriate expert examinations.

As noted by the State Border Guard Service, since the beginning of martial law, the number of cases has increased where citizens die while attempting illegal border crossings.

"These are predominantly men of mobilization age who, following the instructions of organizers of illegal crossings or on their own, chose routes through dangerous, hard-to-reach areas. Such men can become victims of weather conditions, difficult terrain, swift currents, or wild animals," the State Border Guard Service stated.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, border guards of the Western Regional Directorate have discovered nearly two dozen bodies of deceased men in the mountains.
