Top official of the State Customs Service traded fake diplomatic credentials — SSU

Shocking details of the detention of the top official of the State Customs Service, Volodymyr Maystruk.

The operation was conducted jointly by the SSU, SBI, BES, and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Maystruk, who holds the position of Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the State Customs Service, organized a scheme for trading fake OSCE certificates.

He used an NGO with connections to Medvedchuk as a front - "International Diplomatic Mission ’OSCE’." In reality, this was just a cover. This NGO has no affiliation with the OSCE, only masquerading as such.

The certificates of this NGO were sold to draft evaders and migrants. They would present them at checkpoints, military registration and enlistment offices, or to police officers - and the issues would immediately "disappear," as they believed they were dealing with real diplomats.
