The work lasted for years: Illegal sand extraction stopped in Kyiv region

Illegal sand mining was stopped in Bobrytsia, Kyiv region.

Law enforcement officers halted illegal sand mining on privately-owned agricultural land in the village of Bobrytsia. The operation had been ongoing for years, leading to the creation of a deep water body covering more than 3 hectares, which posed an environmental disaster risk.

Rough documentation was found during the searches. Currently, examinations are underway. Once completed, the individuals involved are expected to be charged and face claims for damages caused.
