Verkhovna Rada dismissed Shmyhal and his entire government
The Verkhovna Rada approved the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Along with him, the entire government automatically resigned.
This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the broadcast of Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak on YouTube.
261 deputies supported the resignation.
Before the vote, Shmyhal delivered a speech in which he thanked the parliament, the government, and other branches of power for fruitful cooperation over the years.
The head of the government also discussed the main achievements during his term.
"Thank you for your trust... We believe in Ukraine! I will always serve the Ukrainian people. Glory to Ukraine!" concluded Shmyhal in his speech.
Together with the Prime Minister, the following officials resigned:
- First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko, who received an offer from the President to lead the new government;
- Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba;
- Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna;
- Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov;
- Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov;
- Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov;
- Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidnyi;
- Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko;
- Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Svitlana Hrynchuk;
- Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych;
- Minister for Veterans Affairs Nataliiya Kalmykova;
