New Cabinet in Ukraine: Ministry of Culture remains vacant for now

The Ministry of Culture continues to remain the only vacant position in the new Cabinet.

In Prime Minister Svyrydenko’s list of candidates, there is no contender for this position. Although Minister Tochytskyi was dismissed along with other members and has already written a farewell post.

Nevertheless, until a new minister is appointed, he will perform the duties of the head of the Ministry of Culture. Rumor has it that he will later become Ukraine’s new permanent representative to the Council of Europe.

MP Zheleznyak notes that a new candidate has not yet been found and mentions the only likely name — Veronika Selega — the general director of the creative agency Bickerstaff.345, head of the humanitarian policy directorate of the President’s Office, and founder of the school of rhetoric and communication "Aristotle."
