This was stated by the U.S. Department of State spokesperson Tammy Bruce during a briefing.

"I think the president (ed. - Donald Trump) is the person who will make these decisions, and he continues to approach this proactively so that his vision for resolving this conflict (ed. - the war of Russia against Ukraine) is realized," said State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

She also emphasized that Trump evaluates the situation "quite openly" and shows patience, but will adhere to commitments to NATO regarding supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
