Zelenskyy assured Macron of the independence of NABU after the adoption of the new bill

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron, stated that the new bill regarding the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) guarantees its independence and effectiveness.

«We discussed the work of Ukraine’s anti-corruption infrastructure, which is functioning to its full extent. The presidential bill ensures the independence and efficiency of the anti-corruption bodies and prevents any influence from Russia,» — Zelenskyy noted.

Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine would adopt this bill «without delay» as early as next week, in response to the European Union’s expectations regarding the reform of NABU and SAPO.
