The DIU has obtained evidence of the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russians from temporarily occupied territories

Cyber specialists from the DIU of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine have obtained new evidence of the mass abduction of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

This was reported by the DIU MOU.

During a large-scale cyber operation, intelligence officers gained access to the servers of the so-called government of Crimea.

Documentation was stored on these resources that confirms the forced relocation of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

Specifically, DIU experts gained access to several thousand lists of abducted children, characteristics of abducted children who were left without guardianship, illegal decisions on appointing new guardians from among Russian citizens to the transported orphaned children, and addresses of new places of residence and placement of the abducted Ukrainian children.

«Thousands of files with invaluable information for justice about one of the largest war crimes of the Russian Federation — the abduction of Ukrainian children — have already been handed over to law enforcement agencies. They will be analyzed and attached to criminal proceedings. The obtained information will make it possible to find and return the abducted children to their homeland, as well as to punish those involved in this crime», — said the representative of the DIU of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov.
