The Russians have focused their efforts on the assault on Pokrovsk.
The situation near the borders of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions has stabilized. This was reported on air by Taras Myshak, the press officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade "Stepovi Khyzhaky", on "Espreso".
"We are on the Pokrovsk direction, but our brigade is not directly in Pokrovsk itself; it is closer to the borders of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. From what we observe in the area of responsibility of our brigade, the situation has somewhat stabilized now. That is, obviously, the Russians are currently more focused on the assault on Pokrovsk itself, bypassing Pokrovsk, and perhaps they are trying to reach the administrative border with the Dnipropetrovsk region. Because, judging by what we see, the number of assaults has decreased. They are not as active anymore, but they continue shelling, their drones continue to operate, so in this aspect, the activity hasn’t decreased," he said.
Taras Myshak noted that the Russians do not cease their attempts to capture Pokrovsk.
"Of course, there is a threat (of the capture of Pokrovsk, - ed.). The Russians do not give up these efforts, these attempts; they concentrate, they, as you know, have incorporated the Donetsk region into their constitution and will try to achieve its 100% control here, but the Defence Forces are holding back, repelling these attacks, and I believe that capture is still far off," added the press officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade "Stepovi Khyzhaky".
