Investigation against Komar: The State Bureau of Investigation has taken an interest in the customs officer’s elite lifestyle

It turned out that after the start of the Russian invasion, the Komar family built an estate in an elite suburb of Kyiv worth 70 million hryvnias. The official uses a Mercedes S-class, and his daughter studies at the Royal College in London on a paid basis.

Komar himself, in a comment to "Schemes," noted that the house was supposedly built not for him, and his daughter’s education is paid for by her unnamed godfather. He refused to explain in detail the origin of the elite real estate and funds in the family, indicating that they are "not related to his professional activities."

Incidentally, the head of the Energy Customs may have connections with the fuel holding VM Groupe, which is suspected of tax evasion.

In a comment to "Radio Liberty," Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that the Prosecutor General’s Office registered a criminal proceeding regarding the possible illegal enrichment of the head of the Energy Customs of the Customs Service, Anatoliy Komar, the day after the publication of the journalistic investigation. The case has been transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation for further review.

The SBI has already requested that the National Agency on Corruption Prevention conduct a lifestyle audit of Anatoliy Komar.
