Another group of children has been rescued from the occupied territories of Ukraine. Some of them have finally reunited with their parents after almost three years of separation.
This was reported by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak. According to him, the children managed to return within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Among the children returned from occupation this time is a boy whose mother died, and whose father lost his legs during a drone attack.
The controlled territory also saw the return of a sister and two brothers, whose guardians were threatened with having the children taken away due to their refusal to accept Russian documents.
In the group of returned children are also "fearless teenagers who sang the banned Ukrainian anthem even in a Russian school," and a family that lived on a mined street in constant fear of death, Yermak said.
According to him, some have finally reunited with their parents after almost three years of separation.
"Thank you to Save Ukraine and all partners for facilitating the return of the children. We fulfill the president’s task of returning all children," Yermak stated.
