European leaders issued a statement regarding Ukraine: Trump is ready to provide security guarantees

European leaders have issued a joint statement after talks with Trump in the context of negotiations with Putin.

«We are clearly aware that Ukraine must have reliable security guarantees for the effective protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We welcome President Trump’s statement on the readiness of the United States to provide such security guarantees. The coalition, committed to joint actions, aims to actively participate in this process. It is necessary that there are no restrictions for the Ukrainian armed forces or its cooperation with third countries. Russia cannot have a veto over Ukraine’s path to the EU and NATO», – is stated in the joint statement of the EU and the United Kingdom.

Ukraine must make its own decisions regarding its territory, and international borders cannot be changed by force, is also emphasized in the statement.
