Three years under occupation: Ukraine brought home two teenagers

Ukraine has managed to return two teenage girls from territories temporarily occupied by Russia. This was part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, on Telegram.

According to Yermak, the girls lived under occupation for three years. They faced threats, the threat of searches, and were forced to attend Russian schools.

Despite this, the girls maintained their Ukrainian identity. They studied online at schools in Ukraine, avoided imposed "patriotic" events, and fought every day for the right to be themselves.

"Now they are safe, close to their families, and receiving support and assistance. I thank the Ukrainian Network for Children’s Rights for their help in the rescue. We are fulfilling the president’s mandate to return all children," noted the head of the OP.
