Aviation expert: "Flamingo" will be able to destroy the Russian "Oreshnik" even at the development stage
Aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum, Valeriy Romanenko, stated that the Ukrainian missile "Flamingo" could destroy the Russian "Oreshnik" even before it enters serial production.
«If we take, for example, Votkinsk (Votkinsk Plant), where all Russian ballistic missiles are produced, the distance to it is 1400 kilometers. This means that "Flamingo" can bypass it from behind and approach the facility from the east. In other words, the Russian "Oreshnik," which is planned to be manufactured there, could be destroyed before it is even born. Because its serial production has not yet started,» Romanenko said.
On August 17, Ukrainian photojournalist Yefrem Lukatskyi, who collaborates with Associated Press, shared an image of the Ukrainian missile "Flamingo," which has a range of over 3000 km. According to the journalist, these missiles have been put into serial production.
The publication Defence Express emphasized that the warhead of the "Flamingo" missile weighs one ton, which is twice as powerful as the American Tomahawk. The speed of "Flamingo" reaches up to 950 km/h.
On August 18, the publication Dzerkalo Tyzhnya reported that the "Flamingo" missile has already entered serial production and is being successfully used for combat launches.
