On August 22, Ukraine received a new tranche of financial assistance from the European Union under two programs. One billion euros was provided to Kyiv through ERA Loans, while another 3.05 billion — under the Ukraine Facility.

This was announced in a post by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.

According to her, Ukraine received a total of 4.05 billion euros from partners, of which:

  • one billion euros under ERA Loans, funding from profits of frozen Russian assets;
  • 3.05 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility for recovery and integration.

"This support strengthens both the state budget and the reconstruction process. I thank our European partners. Together, we are confidently moving towards Ukraine’s future in a strong and united Europe," Svyrydenko added.
