Svyrydenko discussed security guarantees and strengthening of Ukraine’s industry with US Special Envoy Kellogg
Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, strengthening Ukrainian industry, and the return of people with U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Keith Kellogg.
Svyrydenko wrote about this on Telegram.
"Today, with U.S. Presidential Special Representative Keith Kellogg, we discussed security guarantees for Ukraine. They must be real – based on the UN Charter and with respect for our sovereignty. This is not only about the military component but also about political stability and economic capability," – she wrote.
Svyrydenko emphasized that true security guarantees are a strong Ukrainian army and a strong economy. "We must preserve the potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and develop our own industry," – she stated.
The discussion also covered the important priority of returning people. Svyrydenko stressed that all prisoners of war, civilians, and abducted children must return home.
"Separately, we discussed the issue of critical minerals and industrial assets that Russia is attempting to exploit in temporarily occupied territories. It is unacceptable for their extraction or trade to be legalized," – the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to her, the American side sees prospects for our cooperation – investments, partnership in reconstruction, and new technologies.
