Russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk region: a rescuer injured, houses and infrastructure damaged
Throughout the day on August 24, Russian military forces shelled the Nikopol, Synelnykove, and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. In the Nikopol area, a local rescuer was injured during the shelling.
This was reported on Facebook by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak.
"Three districts of the region were under attack by Russian troops throughout the day. Nikopol suffered from enemy drones and artillery. The enemy attacked the district center, Marhanets, Myrivska, and Pokrovska communities. A 40-year-old rescuer was injured. A fire and rescue unit and a service vehicle were damaged. Power lines and infrastructure were also affected," the official’s statement reads.
He noted that in the Synelnykove district, according to updated information, 12 private homes were destroyed and a gas pipeline was damaged in the Malomykhailivska community due to a morning shelling with guided aerial bombs (GABs).
In the Mezhivska community, a house caught fire due to a hit by an FPV drone. The fire was extinguished.
In addition, two settlements in the Kryvyi Rih district were terrorized by Russians with drones and artillery. Local residents’ housing was affected.
The Regional State Administration published photos showing the aftermath of the enemy shelling in the Nikopol area.
