About 160 thousand Kharkiv residents have been left homeless due to Russian attacks on the city. They are officially registered to receive temporary or new housing.

This was reported by Kharkiv’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov, in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.

Terekhov noted that the issue of housing reconstruction is currently the main challenge for the city.

"The existing destruction is so severe that restoring the buildings is impossible. Now 160 thousand residents are without a roof over their heads. This is a big challenge. The issue of housing is priority number one for us," emphasized the mayor.
