In Kyiv, the flag on the parliament building was lowered in memory of Andriy Parubiy

In Kyiv, the national flag was lowered on the parliament building in memory of the deceased former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy.

This is stated on the page of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, on Facebook.

"The national flag has been lowered on the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This is how we honor the memory of Andriy Parubiy — a member of parliament for several convocations, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation, who was killed in Lviv. His death was a great loss for the parliament and all of Ukraine," Stefanchuk emphasized.

According to him, the flag will remain lowered for three days as a sign of mourning and deep respect.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Andriy Parubiy. Eternal memory," the post states.
