Ukrainian aircraft may soon appear over occupied Crimea, - Bratchuk

Ukrainian defence forces have intensified strikes on Russian facilities in occupied Crimea. Soon, Ukrainian aircraft may appear in the skies over Crimea.

This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Serhiy Bratchuk, during a broadcast on "Espreso."

"Crimea remains on the agenda. Currently, there is an intensification of attacks on Russian facilities in occupied Crimea. This intensification is effectively part of the response to the so-called Russian summer offensive. Indeed, we note that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are continuing very active operations in Crimea today," he said.

Bratchuk also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently working on eliminating enemy air defense facilities, destroying naval targets, and striking ground targets, including strategically important railway hubs. According to him, the Russian railway is a key logistical artery for the occupying army, making it a priority target for Ukrainian military forces.

He predicted that in the future, though not immediately, Ukrainian aircraft capable of striking ground targets may appear in the skies over Crimea.

"This activity is also aimed at exhausting the enemy’s air defence. This stage has been ongoing for quite some time. Through such actions, our units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are paving the way for our other means of firepower. I will not speak about ’Flamingo’ or ’Neptune’ missiles, but the path is being laid. Therefore, I believe that soon, of course not tomorrow or the day after, but in time, Ukrainian aircraft may appear in the skies over Crimea, striking ground targets," Bratchuk stated.
