The deficit of Ukraine’s defence budget by the end of the year amounts to 300 billion hryvnias

In the current budget, there is still a shortage of funds to meet military needs - the deficit amounts to about 300 billion UAH by the end of the year.

According to their data, the initial calculations by the Ministry of Defence indicated a shortfall of 417 billion UAH, but after further discussions, the amount was reduced to 280 billion UAH. Taking into account other defence agencies (such as the National Guard, Security Service, Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, and others), the total amount reaches 300 billion UAH.

Currently, there are no sources to cover these needs.

It should be noted that in July, the budget was already revised, and funding for the defence sector was increased by an additional 400 billion UAH. However, sources report that even at that time, the Ministry of Finance was aware that this amount would not be sufficient.
