Sybiha: Poland will join training on shooting down drones on Ukrainian territory
On Thursday, September 18, a delegation of military personnel from Poland will arrive in Ukraine. They will be trained by Ukrainian defenders on shooting down Russian drones.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, during a press conference.
"The Ukrainian side informed the Polish side in advance about the movement of these drones into Poland’s airspace. We expect the arrival of a delegation of military personnel from Poland on Thursday, so they can work with our military," Sybiha said.
He noted that currently only Ukraine has the necessary experience in responding to such challenges.
"I would like to remind you that around 800 drones were used against us during the latest attack. And look at our effectiveness rate. Therefore, our experience, unfortunately, war has this side too, where we gain daily combat experience, is also our contribution to our collective security," the minister emphasized.
Sybiha added that partners understand this, and "we are ready to share our experience and work on minimizing and neutralizing these challenges that pose a threat to our common security space."
