Russia attacked Sumy region with drones and GABs: 3 dead, 5 wounded

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Facebook.

"Over the course of the day, from the morning of September 12 to the morning of September 13, 2025, Russian forces conducted 100 shellings targeting 42 settlements across 16 territorial communities in the region. As a result of these shellings, 3 people have died, and there are casualties. The most numerous shellings were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts," the report states.

It is noted that due to the drone attack in Sumy, a 65-year-old man was killed, and in the Bitytskyi Starostat of the Sumy community, a missile strike killed two people – a 67-year-old man and a 28-year-old man.

As a result of the missile strike on the Bitytskyi Starostat, a 75-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman were also injured, while two other injured women aged 80 and 52 received assistance on site. In the Mykolaiv settlement community, a 30-year-old man was wounded when a strike drone hit a truck.

Additionally, in the Bilopillya community, a 72-year-old man sought medical help after being injured the previous day by a drone strike.

The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs, UAV-launched grenades, and drone strikes: up to 20 GAB strikes, up to 20 UAV grenade drops, and up to 20 UAV strikes.

The enemy also launched missile strikes, FPV drone strikes, and conducted artillery shelling on the Sumy region.

Over the day, the air raid alert in the region lasted 23 hours and 25 minutes. Local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated 13 people.
